Definitions 

We/Our/Us refers to TEDxGuildford 

You/Your refers to the customer.

1. The organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel this event. The organiser can accept no further liability if the event is cancelled, including no liability for any expenses incurred as a result of cancellation. The organisers will make reasonable efforts to contact you in the event of postponement or cancellation through contact information obtained via ‘Eventbrite’. 

2. Refunds are available via our ticketing platform ‘Eventbrite’ up to 7 days in advance of the event. Eventbrite’s independent booking fee is not included in this refund, unless the event is cancelled.  

3. The organisers can accept no liability for any loss suffered by any person acting or refraining from action as a result of the material delivered during or in connection with the event. The organisers retain the right to film and audio record the event. By purchasing tickets you consent to you and your party being included in any recording, and to its commercial use, distribution and exploitation, without payment. Recordings will be uploaded onto TEDx platforms after the event.  

4. The organisers retain the right to change the programme and speaker line-up. 

5. Photography and video is welcomed using a personal smartphone only for short amounts of time. We welcome photos and short video clips being shared on social media to help promote TEDxGuildford. You may be asked to stop recording the event if your photography and video disturbs the enjoyment of people seated near you. Recording of any talks in full is not permitted.  

6. TEDxGuildford is not liable for any failure of or delay in the performance of this Agreement for the period that such failure or delay is due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorist, strikes or labour disputes, embargoes, government orders or any other force majeure event. 

7. The organisers reserve the right to cancel and refund any attendee’s ticket and refuse entry, at our discretion and without notice. Any attendee who we reasonably deem in contravention of our code of conduct will be refused entry to the event. 

8. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder. Event content may not be suitable for children. 

9. ⁠The organisers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions without notice.
